We run our successful holiday gite business from our beautiful home in Brittany only 30 minutes from the historic Abbey of Mont St Michel. Our location not only allows our visitors to visit the Normandy beaches but also to explore the great battles for St Lo and Operation Cobra. We are also near to the Port of St Nazaire, scene of the famous ‘Raid on St Nazaire’ in 1942. Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in War Studies from Birmingham University. His dissertation on the 6th Airborne Division in Normandy during the Normandy campaign is one of the best on the subject. Malcolm’s father served with 6th Airborne from 1944-1947. Malcolm has also led battlefield tours to the English Civil War, the Peninsula War and the Waterloo Campaign.

Alison handles most of the administration and correspondence for our tours. She is a former Assistant Head Teacher who taught Food and Catering for over 25 years. Alison is a renowned cook and has managed teams catering for large and small exclusive functions and events in France. Alison handles much of the organisation of our tours and makes many of the arrangements while Malcolm is out guiding tours so it is quite likely you will be in touch with her if you are making a booking.

Alison provides the packed lunches and picnics for which our tours have become famous.
